Senior Associate/Dr. Stephen Noerper

Dr. Stephen Noerper, Senior Vice President, The Korea Society An experienced scholar and non-profit professional, Professor Noerper taught previously at NYU, headed New York City's oldest parochial school, and was Vice President, Programs and Managing Editor for a Washington, DC international relations firm. He taught concurrently at American University and earlier served in the U.S. State Department. He was a visiting full professor at Japan's Waseda University and Fulbright Senior Scholar at the National University of Mongolia, where he later served as a foundation resident representative. He was an Associate Professor at the Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies and Washington Representative for the Nautilus Institute for Security and Sustainable Development, where he edited the Northeast Asia Peace and Security Network (NAPSNet) Daily Report. Dr. Noerper was a senior fellow at the EastWest Institute, East West Center, Korea's Institute for Foreign Affairs and National Security, and the Edward R. Murrow Center for Public Diplomacy. He has appeared on NBC and MSNBC, Reuters, NHK, and VOA television, Australian Broadcasting Company, Radio Netherlands, Bloomberg, and National Public Radio, and in Asian Survey, Newsweek and other print media. He holds graduate degrees from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and the London School of Economics and first served with a Chicago foundation in 1985. Contact: stephen.ny@koreasociety.org
