Bonnie Glaser has served as a consultant on Asian affairs for the U.S.
government
since 1982 and currently is consulting for the Office of the Secretary
of Defense,
the Department of State,and other U.S. government agencies. Ms. Glaser
was a
member of the Defense Policy Board China Panel in 1997. Her recent publications
include include: Trends in Chinese Assessments of the United States,
2000-2005, East Asia and the United States: Current Status and Five Year
Outlook, Conference Report, National Intelligence Council and the Federal
Research Division, Library of Congress, CR 2000-02, September 2000); and
Chinese Missiles and Taiwan TMD: Can a New Round of the Cross-Strait Arms
Race be Averted? (American Foreign Policy Interests, December 1999). Ms.
Glaser received her B.A. from Boston University in Political Science and
her M.A.
from The Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies with a
concentration in international economics and Chinese studies. Ms. Glaser
is a
board member of the U.S. Committee of the Council for Security Cooperation
in
the Asia Pacific (CSCAP) and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
